In 1969, Albert J. Izzo started two companies in one day. Zonatherm Products was founded to focus on the sale of mission-critical products. The complementary vision for ThermFlo, Inc. was to provide exceptional service for products sold by Zonatherm.
From the beginning, ThermFlo has also marketed its capabilities in engineering, piping and sheet metal work. This menu of construction-related services planted the seed for the growth of our highly successful Projects Division.
One of ThermFlo’s first customers in 1969 was Allstate Insurance Company, and Allstate remains a customer to this day. This is just one example of the commitment Al Izzo established from day one, to grow by building long-term partnerships, and always doing what’s best for the customer.
1977 was a crucial year in terms of pointing the way for the company’s future. In that year, Al’s son Stephen Izzo, along with Kevin O’Brien and Jeff Sode began their careers at ThermFlo. Today, these three dynamic individuals form our executive leadership team.
From the 1980’s on, our Service Division and Projects Division have both grown at a steady pace. While ThermFlo has always serviced products for a variety of leading industry brands, key milestones were achieved when we became the exclusive factory-authorized service representative for Liebert thermal management products and Generac commercial and industrial power systems in Chicago, Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
Strong relationships with customers and our manufacturer partners have driven ThermFlo’s success. Equally important, however, are the open communications and nurturing relationships that thrive within the company.
